Editor, journalist, playwright, novelist, teacher...I live many different lives, but at the heart of each one of them is a need to engage an audience, tell a good story, motivate thought, inspire creativity, broaden horizons, and have a little fun along the way. Throughout my career, I have served as a newspaper editor, playwright, theater director, journalist, and community advocate. My first novel, The Purple Bird, a fantasy geared toward young adults, came out in March 2019, and my plays have been produced onstage by Children's Theatre of Annapolis and Colonial Players. When I'm not writing or creating, you can usually find me going for obscenely long-distance runs or going on adventures with my canine companion, Tyrion the corgi.
